Diversity & Social Justice
NASP is committed to ensuring that all children receive an appropriate public education, irrespective of race, culture and background, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or educational need.
Our nation's schools and individual classrooms are becoming increasingly diverse and are comprised of all types of students, including English language learners, Indigenous children and youth, and students with disabilities.
NASP is committed to advancing policies and practices that meet the needs of all students.
NASP is collecting member demographics to better assess the diversity of the profession. View the current data as of April 2024. As this represents only 39% of our membership, this should not be interpreted as the actual ratio of NASP members in each demographic category.
