Ingredients

Yield:1 drink
  • 2ounces rye whiskey
  • ½ounce Amaro Abano
  • ½ounce Byrrh
  • 2dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1teaspoon maple syrup
  • Orange twist, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    In a mixing glass three-quarters filled with ice, combine all liquid ingredients. Stir until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Twist orange peel over glass and drop into drink.

This is a riff on a Boulevardier, a classic Prohbition era drink, and one of my favorites.
