Ingredients

  • 2slices raw, peeled ginger (about the size of a quarter)
  • 1bar spoon Morris Kitchen ginger syrup
  • Ginger beer (I like Gosling’s)
  • 3ounces rye
  • Orange peel twist to garnish
Ingredient Substitution Guide

Preparation

  1. Step 1

Muddle one slice of ginger with syrup and a bit of ginger beer in the bottom of a highball glass. Fill glass with ice cubes.

  2. Step 2

Add rye and stir with a bar spoon. Add ginger beer to fill.

  3. Step 3

Run the other slice of ginger around the rim of the glass, then discard. Twist orange peel over drink to release oils, then drop into glass.

I love ginger, and this drink has it! I liked it more with the addition of of little lemon or lime juice.
