June brings the promise of summer and the transition into the warmest time of the year. While the Sagittarius full moon in May helped spark optimism and creativity, the Gemini new moon arrived to clear space in our mind to create room for new, exciting things. We welcome a new season and the first of two consecutive Capricorn full moons.

These two full moons are setting the stage for a fun summertime and accomplishing goals that may have been on the back burner for the last few years. This is big energy! It's that feeling of being tired of your stuff and finally moving it out of the way to create the space you need to do what you're here to do. Maybe that is simply learning how to be present. Or sharing your gifts with the world that you once kept private. Full moons often culminate in the same sign, the goals and wishes we set under the new moon. The Universe gets to work over six months between the new and full moon in the same sign, and things will begin coming to fruition during this time. This is why working with the moon's energy is so powerful: it can truly transform your life here on planet Earth.

What you begin during the June Full Moon in Capricorn will continue into July's Cap full moon. So, it's a ripe time of year to harvest all that you have been working to create, taking special care of your emotions at this time. Capricorns tend to oppress emotions, but with two full moons in a row, the energy will be pretty powerful, stirring up an array of emotions. Honor yourself and your emotions. Change is inevitable but not always easy.

When Is the Full Moon in Capricorn?

The Full Moon in Capricorn peaks on June 21 at 9:08 p.m. ET. Stargazers can marvel at the big, bright ball in the sky the night before and after its peak. It's a great time to combine summer solstice and full moon rituals, honoring the masculine and feminine energies of the sun and moon. The focus of your rituals can be to usher more balance into your life consistently.

What does the 2024 Full Moon in Capricorn Mean?

Capricorn is an earth sign that keeps you rooted firmly in your goals and ambitions. When the first Full Moon in Capricorn arrives on June 21, the day after the summer solstice, it's a great time to do some deep cleaning, internally and externally. With this hyper-focused energy, anything is possible. The June Full Moon in Capricorn is also known as the strawberry full moon because it marks the prime season for harvesting the delicious red fruit. This symbolizes many things spiritually as well.

The red strawberry symbolizes the root chakra, an earthly energy vortex that is the center of our security and safety in this life. It's our foundation; if that is off balance, we will live life through fear, procrastination, and self-doubt. It is also symbolic of clearing our path of clutter and old thoughts and patterns, just as the harvesting of strawberries creates space for new fruit to grow. The ripe fruit is picked, and the decaying parts of the plant are discarded. This parallels what we need personally as we navigate the shifts and changes we experience during this human journey. It's important for us to tend to our inner garden, harvesting the ripe fruit we grow and throwing away the rotting leaves and veins that threaten to weaken our roots or foundation.

During this full moon, it's a good idea to think about the shifts in career and relationships you'd like to see in your life this year and beyond. Think of a five-year plan. The relationships of focus can be work-related, romantic, or with your pets. If you work with these twin full moons, you should see debt reduction and a new pathway to prosperity. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of responsibility, structure, and long-term goals. This is no time to play around with what we want our life to be. It's our masterpiece and our offering to the universe. Think of this time as your canvas. What will you create?

Spiritual Cleansing Limpia Recipe For the Full Moon in Capricorn

Ingredients:

Herbs - Rosemary, tarragon, chamomile

Candle Color - Brown

Essential Oils - Cedarwood, geranium, and spearmint

Crystals - Red garnet, Tiger's eye, Carnelian

Epsom Salt

Sea Salt

Pink Himalayan Salt

Blood orange sage

Palo Santo

Flowers - Pansies, jasmine, or carnations

Florida Water

Ritual:

1. Begin by burning your blood-orange sage. The red represents root chakra balance, which coincides with Capricorn. As you burn the sacred herb, say words of gratitude for its powerful cleansing properties. Allow the smoke to float throughout your space and around you.

2. Follow the sage with palo santo to lock in the sweetness of the newly cleansed space.

3. Next, bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Pray over the water and speak your intentions into it. The water will receive and hold your words.

4. Lower the boil to a simmer and add a few handfuls of herbs. Mix them in with a wooden spoon as you give thanks to the herbs and acknowledge the magic you're creating with these earthly elements.

5. Allow the herbs to simmer for 10-15 minutes before straining the water into a large bowl.

6. Add several drops of essential oils and a few splashes of Florida Water. Mix in with a wooden spoon as you continue praying and speaking in full volume to the universe. Believe with every fiber of your being that your words are being heard and received, setting divine plans into action.

7. Next, add a half a cup of Epsom salt, Sea salt, and Pink Himalayan salt and mix in until dissolved.

8. Finally, cover the top of your limpia with flower petals. Save some of your flowers for your Full Moon in Capricorn altar.

9. Set your limpia aside as you create your ritual altar. Grab your candle, a vase with the rest of your flowers, and the crystals you feel called to use. Place the candle alongside the flowers in a place that calls to you under the full moon. Then, strategically place your crystals. Listen to your intuition and place them where they want to go.

10. Light your candle and allow the fire to symbolize all the transformations, shifts, and changes you need during this full moon.

11. Then go to your shower with your limpia bowl and after cleaning your body physically, gently pour the limpia over it as you pray and say all that you need in that moment. Watch the water flow down the drain. It symbolizes all you are letting go of under the full moon. Feel refreshed and balanced.
