BWW is always seeking talented theater enthusiasts to head up feature coverage our over 130 regional areas. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to review the shows of your choice, conduct interviews with local and touring talent, design features of your own choosing for publishing, and work/network with your local theater press reps to bring exposure to the theatrical offerings in your area.

All applicants should have excellent writing skills and an interest for giving local theaters and productions some prominence on BroadwayWorld.com.

Faeron Wheeler
Faeron Wheeler

Faeron is a Cape Town based actor, writer and producer who has been involved in theatre since she was only three years old. She studied drama and dancing throughout school and then went on to do a BA with a double major in Screenwriting and English before earning her Honours in Film Production from the University of Cape Town. Throughout her performance career, she has appeared on numerous stages around Cape Town and beyond. In 2017, Faeron started F Creations, a production company aimed at bringing original work to the stage and screen. Some of her favourite productions she's been involved with include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), The Comedy of Errors and Your Perfect Life (which won a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the 2019 National Arts Festival Fringe). Faeron is also currently the head of programming for a local theatre in Cape Town.

 


Jaime Uranovsky
Jaime Uranovsky

Jaime is a creative who hails from Cape Town, South Africa. She completed her BA in English and psychology in 2015 and her honours in English Literature the following year, both at the University of Cape Town. After a couple of years, she returned to pursue her LLB, which she completed in 2021. Jaime is no stranger to the stage, having performed in various shows in Cape Town’s community theatre scene, some of which include Jane Eyre, The Full Monty, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Educating Rita. In 2020, she won Best Actress at the Cape Amateur Theatre Awards for her portrayal of Rita in Educating Rita. Jaime  formerly worked as a freelance writer, editor and proof-reader, has performed her own writing in comedy nights and, until recently, was a teaching assistant in the Private Law Department at the University of Cape Town. While at law school, Jaime was the Editor-in-Chief of the faculty’s student-led, quarterly magazine, Altum Sonatur. She was also one of the editors of Responsa Meridiana 2021, an annual student law journal published through UCT and Stellenbosch University. Jaime also has a side-hustle whereby she paints commissions. Recently, she began her newest adventure as a candidate attorney for a law firm in Cape Town.


Michelle B Lewis
Michelle B Lewis

Michelle, who hails from Cape Town, is a creative with a life-long interest in theatre and literature.

Her love for reading and theatre started at a very young age.

After a 25-year hiatus, Michelle is thrilled to be back in the creative realm. Her music and drama roots, cultivated in school and community work, have flourished. Previously a dedicated stage mom, supporting her talented daughters, she now merges her organizational skills from the corporate world with her passion for theatre. Michelle is also the Volunteer Coordinator at The Masque Theatre in Cape Town, uniting her love for creativity and relationship-building in one space.

Michelle is also known for her great comedic timing as part of the ensemble in the pantomime Rapunzel in 2023, at The Masque Theatre.
