Billie Eilish’s third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” is here. Over 10 tracks, she sings about the highs and lows of love, accompanied by her brother Finneas’s sonically experimental production.

Our chief pop music critic, Jon Pareles, says the album both honors and warps pop structures, creating songs that are hooky yet full of twists. Here’s his review.
