VMAX LLC
Mid-Century Modern New & Custom Home Builders Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 6, 2015
I highly recommend VMax, LLC for any construction project; whether it is building a home or doing a remodeling project. They are very knowledgeable of the construction business. They have good ideas but are very willing to listen to your thoughts. They are dependable; and meet their deadlines. You can rely on receiving an honest estimate. Their cost are reasonable; budgets are met and if there are changes they will discuss with you first - nothing is unknown. Their sub-contractors are professional and respectful. They have completed several remodeling jobs in my home. My kitchen and den were remodeled to open up an area that was previously part of my parents apartment. Part of the remodel included creating a home office for my business. They have also remodeled a bathroom in my home.
F C Batton and Son, Inc.

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 7, 2014
Building our home with Rick Batton and his staff was nothing but fun from start to finish. Rick and his son Kyle are very talented craftsmen and made the entire experience a pleasure. They were always patient and kind and all of the men were mannerly and caring. Before we hired the company, we spoke with families for whom Batton and Son had built and without exception they said that it was a wonderful experience and we would agree. We started the project as client and builder and finished a year later as friends.
Ezra Lee Design+Build

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJune 27, 2013
We engaged Ezra Lee Design Build for architectural design services and then as general contractor for construction of the residence. We hired Ezra for his creativity and attention to detail. Ezra and his team have been great to work with and are producing a one-of-a-kind, quality residence. We expected personal, hands-on attention and are receiving it. We recommend Ezra Lee and his entire team.
Right Arm Construction

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 22, 2013
Right Arm Construction just finished remodeling two bathrooms in my home: one fairly utilitarian and one designer-level. The work completed is highly satisfactory. I am particularly grateful for the advice Arent gave me as to materials, finishing details and styling. I benefited from his excellent knowledge and experience. The contractor, his associates and sub-contractors were all helpful and agreeable to work with.
Santa Cruz Green Builders
Mid-Century Modern New & Custom Home Builders Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMay 22, 2013
During the 13 month construction our neighbors would comment, "Your contractors are doing a good job on your house and we're impressed that they are respectful of the neighbors. I like it that they don't play loud music and clean up every day." We were happy to hear that. We are even happier with the results. As the first house in Santa Cruz County to be built (technically remodeled) to the Passive House standards, we enjoy a very comfortable temperature throughout the house AND use much less energy than similar houses in the neighborhood. The biggest challenge was the air tightness requirement for Passive House certification. This was tested with a blower door to verify that the house achieve 0.6ACH50 (131 CFM in our case) which is VERY tight. Achieving this level of airtightness in the house that was originally built in 1922, where we kept the original foundation and framing, has not been done before. Santa Cruz Green Builders also installed the first Heat Recovery Ventilator in this area. The professional who came to commission the HRV commented that our installation was one of the better ones he's observed. So, the point of this paragraph is Santa Cruz Green Builders is not afraid to take on new challenges and achieve amazing results. When you hear the words "green building" it may bring the image of a certain contemporary aesthetic to mind. But our house has the curve appeal of a nice old house -- a 1922 bungalow that has the arts and crafts styling with details in the window trims and flared skirt look on the siding. On the interior we are very happy that Santa Cruz Green Builders talked us into keeping the original floors and refinishing them. The tight grains of old fir is appealing and the polished distressed wood brings out the period style. They carefully deconstructed the house so that original base boards, doors, etc. were re-used. We also selected finishes that reflects the old arts and crafts style. When people come to our house they can't tell what's original and what's new. We like that. True to their name, Santa Cruz Green Builders walk their talk. I can continue with other elements like structured plumbing, gray water, insulation, recycling, etc. If you're curious about that please visit my blog http://http://midorihaus.blogspot.com/
Stonebreaker Builders & Remodelers
Mid-Century Modern New & Custom Home Builders Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 11, 2012
Scott did a wonderful job on our basement. As a realtor I know many builders in the business. I chose Stonebreaker Builders for not only their reputation and quality of work but also the unique and very custom "flair" he added to our plans. I will definately use them again in the future for other projects.
Racing Green

Racing Green is one of those rare general contractors in LA that you can COMPLETELY trust to do great work in a timely manner. I hired them to renovate my home in Toluca Lake (after a former contractor walked off the job). Racing Green came in and picked up where the other group quit. They were extremely professional and great to work with. Some of the projects they completed for me were flooring, drywall, lighting, underpinning, and plumbing. They did a great job on everything and for a reasonable price. I am tremendously grateful for them coming in and saving the day. I have worked with them since and I will continue to use them in the future. I highly recommend their services for any household renovation or construction projects you might need.
Carlisle Classic Homes
Mid-Century Modern New & Custom Home Builders Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 5, 2013
I have referred Carlisle Classic Homes to many of my clients and will continue to do so, as they are a great company to work with. As an architect with H2D Architecture + Design, I enjoy working in a team format with my clients and the builder. I have worked with Alex, at Carlisle Classic Homes, on several remodel projects and he is excellent to work with. He is very detailed oriented, budget conscious, looks ahead in the project to foresee potential problems or complications, and has good communication skills. My clients have also been pleased with Carlisle Classic Homes' craftsmanship and responsiveness to their requests during construction.
Jeffery M Wolf General Contractor, Inc.

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsAugust 22, 2013
Jeff and his staff have the utmost integrity. We spend almost 2 years knowing and working with Jeff Wolf and we couldn't have been more impressed. Building a house is stressful by nature, but he and his staff mitigated the difficulty in every way possible. They did so by keeping our goals and our budget in mind while STILL building to the highest standards. We love our home and we know that this has mostly to do with Jeff Wolf, his team, and his second-to-none building standards. -The Martins
Fazzolari Custom Homes & Renovations
Mid-Century Modern New & Custom Home Builders Near Me
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsApril 3, 2014
In 2005, my Wife and I relocated back to the Vancouver area from florida. We were in the market for a one level house and very few were available or at least not the suited our needs. We were introduced to Fazzolari Custom Homes. John worked with us in locating a lot and then worked with my Wife and I in developing the floor plan that we wanted. John and his crew continued to work with us all through the building process on any changes. As an example, We were visiting the building site on this one day while the framing was in process. The crew just happened to be framing one of the bathrooms in one of the master bedrooms (there are two) and were laying out the shower area. My Wife and I left the site and went to a local restaurant for lunch and my Wife said she wasn't sure she liked the shower design and she did a few quick sketches on a napkin. We went back to the house and showed the changes to Johns Forman and even though the original design had been started he pulled up the framing ,laid out the new changes my Wife had sketched on the napkin. Now that won't happen with the average builder. We would recommend John Fazzolari for any project you may be planning. You won't be disappointed.
