Justin Timberlake seemingly makes joke about his DWI arrest at Boston concert - as he continues world tour following controversy

Justin Timberlake has been under scrutiny ever since his DWI arrest less than two weeks ago, but the singer appears to now be making light of the legal controversy.

During his concert in Boston on Saturday, the embattled singer, 43, seemingly cracked a joke about the arrest.

In video posted on social media, Justin could be seen asking the crowd: 'Is there anyone here tonight that is driving... nah, just kidding!' The crowd quickly reacted with cheers and laughter.

The joke comes just 11 days after Justin was arrested for DWI in The Hamptons.

Meanwhile, last week it was reported that The Social Network star and his wife, Jessica Biel, have moved past the incident.

'They've moved on from the arrest. They have faith in their legal team and continue to focus on work and their family instead,' a source told People

The former boy bander has not let the arrest stop him from continuing on with his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. He returned to the stage for the first time since the arrest in Chicago last week.

Jessica, 42, was also seen attending his Madison Square Garden show on Tuesday, dancing in the audience.

'They’re always supportive of each other’s careers,' the insider said.

'Jess would never miss a show when she’s able to attend,' the source added. 'She’s excited for him.'

The Cry Me A River singer also shared video of his wife and team taking part in a 'Swedish candy taste test' while backstage on Wednesday.

But many fans weren't delighted by whimsical display in the comments, and they blasted the embattled NSYNC member for allegedly trying to distract from the aftermath of his DWI arrest earlier this month.

'You're a real one for not shutting off your comments lol,' wrote one person, though many of the negative comments were quickly pushed down by positive comments that didn't reference the controversy at all.

Another poster called the videos 'Damage control,' and several people complained that the clips seemed 'awkward' or 'fake.'

'Look how normal we are and just ignoring the fact that happened and how fine everything is,' wrote another person.

But others stuck up for Timberlake, with one fan writing, 'People in the comments act like they are saints and never done anything wrong. You guys are hilarious.'

Another supportive fan commented: 'Some of y'all are funny as hell. You will cancel people and act like you're perfect.'

Justin was arrested on June 18 around 12:30 a.m. when a Sag Harbor Village Police Department officer stopped him in the village in New York's Hamptons after he allegedly ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane while driving a 2025 BMW X7, according to a court document.

'His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,' the court papers said.

The so-called 'Prince of Pop' told the officer he had one martini and was following some friends home, according to the documents. After being arrested and taken to a police station in nearby East Hampton, he refused a breath test, said the court papers, which listed his occupation as 'professional' and said he's 'self-employed.'

The 10-time Grammy winner was released without bond later in the morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbor. He was charged with a driving-while-intoxicated misdemeanor, and his next court date was scheduled for July 26, the Suffolk County district attorney's office said.

A bartender at the hotel confirmed to People that the singer only consumed one drink before the arrest.

Another employee told the publication: 'If he was drinking more, it wasn't here.'
