Dr. Graham Reid is a clinical psychologist and Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Family Medicine, with a cross-appointment in Paediatrics, at Western University, London, Ontario. He holds a Scientist appointment with the Children’s Health and Lawson Research Institutes, and the Primary Health Care System Program of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-term Care. Dr. Reid received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Bowling Green State University. Following an internship at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Ottawa, he completed his postdoctoral fellowship in the area of paediatric pain at the IWK-Grace Health Centre and Dalhousie University, Halifax. Previously he was a psychologist and researcher at The Toronto Hospital, where his work focused on psychosocial factors related to medical outcomes and, in particular, predictors of behavioral outcomes in populations such as adolescents and young adults with congenital heart disease and patients undergoing angioplasty. He currently has two programs of research. One focuses on accessing and using health and mental health services and the second focuses on parenting young children, with a specific focus on pediatric sleep problems. In addition, Dr. Reid maintains a private practice as a psychologist in which he provides services for individuals and couples across the lifespan.
