"Living Hope"

In 2016 on my 58th birthday I was diagnosed with T3N2 throat cancer. I was told the good news was this cancer is very treatable, the bad news was the treatment was going to be rough. Rough was an understatement, after completing treatment, (Chemotherapy and Radiation), I remember telling myself I would rather die than go thru that again. Lucky for me that I have a short memory because 12 months after my initial treatment was completed, I was told my cancer had returned. This time I would require Radical Surgery along with the pleasantries of Chemotherapy and Radiation. I am now almost 3 years cancer free. Why do I ride?? Of course, I ride for a cure – but I also ride for treatments that don’t make you think you would rather die.
