What Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair but the hair spray and the electric toothbrush. We asked Washington Wizards player Kyle Kuzma — who recently partnered with LG on an episodic series called Hanging With Kuz — about the paint, headphones, and golf glove he can’t live without.

I collect art, but a lot of the art in my home is painted by me. I’ve always been someone that draws and does creative things on paper. I got into painting about a year and a half ago. It became an outlet. I’m pretty private about my paintings and don’t show them to a lot of people. But it’s something I’m passionate about. These paints are just smooth. I also need to use less of these than other paints I’ve tried. I paint whatever comes to my mind. Sometimes I start out with an idea of what I want and other times I just throw paint on a canvas and figure out what it will be while I’m painting.

I’ve had these for at least six years. I can’t get into game mode without them. They cancel out everything and really allow me to feel like I’m by myself. The headphones help me stay focused. I can concentrate and prepare better because it’s just me and my music.

The teeny-size chocolates are something I can never stop snacking on. I have a huge sweet tooth, so chocolate is an essential for me. Tony’s has this natural, rich flavor I can’t get enough of. I try not to eat chocolate when I’m in-season because I want to keep my body in good shape, but it’s so hard. One of these is the perfect bite. I can always allow myself to have at least one.

I got these clippers at my barber’s request. He said they are the best and that’s definitely been the case. The clippers work well for any style I want. I’ve used them myself, too, when I’ve decided to cut all my hair off. I can easily buzz my own head with these. I actually built a barbershop in my new place — my barber used to cut my hair in the kitchen when he made house calls, which was kind of weird.

I drink wine maybe every two days off-season. A little less when I’m in season. Decanting is important. I like to drink wines that are 20 or 30 years old, and they need to breathe after being in the bottle for that long. Maybe decanting doesn’t make a difference for younger bottles, but for older ones, it really helps develop the flavor before you drink a wine. This decanter is sleek and sexy — it looks beautiful just sitting out on my table. They all essentially do the same thing, so I went with one that looks elegant, that I can keep out on a table as a centerpiece. I get a lot of compliments on this and it sparks conversations.

I have two dogs — Snoh, a husky, and Duke, a Belgian Malinois. They love to play fetch in our backyard. They could seriously play for hours. I go through a lot of these tennis balls because we use them pretty much every day. Sometimes they get lost, and one of the dogs likes to bite on them until they’re not a tennis ball anymore. Even though I’m always buying new ones, these aren’t as easy for the dogs to destroy.

I play a lot of golf when I’m off-season. It’s such a beautiful sport — relaxing but also a challenge at the same time. This glove helps me out a lot. It feels smooth, looks sharp, and because of the traction on it, the glove makes my hand feel like an extension of a club. Plus, I love that I can still text when I’m wearing it on my left hand.

I’m not necessarily the kind of person who needs to have the latest tech. But when it comes to a TV, I always want it to be updated and of the highest quality. The definition you get from this TV is unreal. It delivers the smoothest motion and sharpest picture. I watch a lot of movies and sports games and I game a lot, too. This is great for all of that — it takes the home-entertainment experience to a whole new level. I also love the look. It’s incredibly thin.
