"We'll be learning Bombarda Maxima, the strongest variation of the Exploding Charm [sic]. Now, this spell is quite dangerous, so exercise caution when casting your explosions. Bombarda Maxima is quite similar to Bombarda, except more... explodey."
Olivia Green introducing the spell to her seventh-year Defence Against the Dark Arts students[src]

Bombarda Maxima was the incantation used for the strongest variation of the Bombardment Spell.[2] It provoked large, violent explosions capable of demolishing entire walls.[1][2]

History[]

During the 1990–1991 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the then Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, Olivia Green, taught her seventh-years how to use this spell in class, as part of her curriculum focused on both theoretical and practical defensive magic.[2]
