JEE Main Results 2024: The NTA declared the JEE Main Session 2 2024 results, with an increase in students achieving perfect NTA scores. The NTA has also released state-wise toppers list and their scores. The exam took place in 13 different languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. For the JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2, there were 571 distinct examination centers located in 319 cities. This included 22 cities outside India such as Abu Dhabi, Cape Town, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Manama, Muscat, Oslo, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta, Vienna, Moscow, Port Louis/Reduit, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Washington D.C. On the other hand, Session 1 was held at around 544 centers across 291 cities, encompassing 21 cities beyond India.

UPSC Topper: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023. Candidates who underwent the personality test can access their results on upsc.gov.in. With 1,105 positions up for grabs, the selection process was rigorous, beginning with the preliminary exam on May 28, 2023. The final merit list, based on combined scores, will determine candidates' rankings and recommended services.

IIT Madras becomes the first IIT to introduce a sports quota for undergraduate admissions. Two supernumerary seats will be created in each course from 2024-25. The quota aims to reward and encourage students who excel in sports. Eligibility requires a position in the JEE (Advanced) rank list and at least one medal in a national or international sports competition. A separate Sports Rank List will be prepared based on performance in specific sports. Different weightage will be given to different games in the quota.
