BJP state party president BY Vijayendra demanded the sacking of Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister B Nagendra and a CBI probe into an alleged illegal fund transfer by the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. The BJP threatened a statewide agitation if its demands were not met within a week. The demand comes after the alleged suicide of an officer, Chandrashekhar, who accused senior officials, including the managing director of the corporation and the minister, of corruption.
