We have joined the UNFCCC’s Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action to support industry efforts to make fashion and textiles more sustainable.
As the first media company to support the charter, Condé Nast is committed to playing a more proactive and meaningful role in the global climate action movement. Condé Nast will work with industry partners to influence consumer behavior by promoting the re-use of clothes, sustainable fashion, innovative materials and technologies which can help to mitigate the environmental impact of fashion.
Earlier this year, Condé Nast became the first global consumer media company to support the UN’s Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism. Signatories are committing to accelerate climate action to cut global tourism emissions by at least a half over the next decade and reach Net Zero emissions as soon as possible before 2050.
Condé Nast is committed to promoting responsible tourism through our trusted media brands across multi-platforms and leading by example by introducing low-carbon travel policies in our corporate operations.
Born from an internal call-to-action, Condé Nast’s Global Employee Council provides a platform for employees to identify shared objectives, exchange ideas, and work on community priorities for our global workforce. The Council members are trained annually to recognize best practices and share resources in support of our Condé Code, specifically sustainability, diversity, and inclusion.
