I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Traemand. I recently had my kitchen renovated and decided to go with Ikea cabinets. As IKEA's partner, Traemand took care of everything from measuring my kitchen, to working with an online kitchen planner, to the actual installation.
The whole process was seamless and everyone was an absolute joy to work with. Thank you Theresa, Joe and Mark for a job well done!!
Would definitely give them 10 stars if I could!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - David D.Philadelphia, PA968Oct 14, 2022
Kitchen disaster
My wife and I had a new kitchen designed with IKEA staff (sort of), and assembled by Traemand. After several months of waiting for parts to become available and crossing state lines to complete our collection, we finally were able to schedule Traemand a return visit to assemble stuff. But when they came back for that they said they couldn't do the job because one of our walls was concrete, and they can't hang cabinets on concrete.
This was several months into this project (and after Traemand had come out to measure and demo our existing cabinets). The Traemand person instructed us to get a 3rd party contractor to have a wood wall put up on top of the concrete wall to be able to hang the cabinets. He even had a name and number for us to call as "someone who does this thing all the time".
We went with their suggestion, and over the next few weeks were able to get a wall put up on the concrete wall so Traemand could continue with the install. Amazingly this was done by applying Liquid Nails to huge sheets of OSB, essentially gluing the boards to the wall.
Later we had another install date with Traemand (with yet a different crew of 2) who took two days to put together the cabinets. There were a few things that didn't fit perfect and one case of a washable panel that was put on backwards. They were eager to be done and leave. After nearly 4 months without a working kitchen or dining room we were also eager to be moving towards functional kitchen space again, so we fixed the minor fittings ourselves. We got new countertops and had new tiles put on top of the ugly OSB boards, and we were closer to a pretty nice looking kitchen (see first image).
About 8 months after the cabinets were assembled, one of the OSB walls came off the concrete, along with a large section of cabinets and all of our plates and dishes. Fortunately no one in the kitchen at the time, because they could have been severely injured (or killed!). We were left with heavy hearts with our now half-destroyed kitchen.
Our insurance covered nothing, and IKEA "reviewed our case" and took no responsibility. Traemand is also unreachable, as it looks like everyone working on our project was possibly subcontracted out to do the work. Ultimately the person responsible for the OSB walls is now out of state and a lawsuit would likely end up costing us more than we'd get back. We're now looking at at least $3000 to fix this mess, retile and take precautionary measures on the other cabinets installed, and we'll have to (very reluctantly) spend another $1000 at IKEA too. We will certainly NOT be using Traemand again though this time though.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Xochitl G.Los Angeles, CA175158Jul 13, 2022
AVOID THIS INSTALLER.
The installer came and worked until around 10pm. It really was a two day or a two person job. None of the handles are aligned correctly.
Jose, the dispatcher, does not return emails or phone calls. Greg says to contact Jose. Aliyah's phone message box is full. Do not make the mistake I made. Find a reputable installer. They have 32 complaints on BBB. Make that 33. I just filed a complaint.
Why is IKEA sending their customers to these people???Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cheryl N.Los Angeles, CA014441Nov 26, 2022
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is a terrible company. IKEA needs to go with a different company to install their kitchens.
IKEA delivered all the items for the kitchen the day before and the next day 2 workers came to start the installation. Barely 20 minutes into the installation, they hit a pipe and the water started running. The workers immediately turned off the water and contacted Traemand on what to do. They directed the workers to complete the installation without telling us what had occurred. The workers felt bad about continuing the installation without informing us. The workers were honest and told us they hit a pipe. We were very disappointed with Traemand for directing the workers to continue the work. We would not have found out about the damage until after the workers left and we turned the water back on, which would have caused water damage to the house and cabinets.
We called Traemand to fix the situation. They refused and said that we would have to fix the pipe on our own and on our own dime. Traemand said they would continue the work after the pipe was fixed. The way the representative for the job handled (didn't handle) the situation caused us to lose all faith in Traemand and their ability to do a quality job and to rectify any problems that they caused. We stopped all work and cancelled the project. We ended up going with a local family owned company to handle our kitchen renovation.
Stay away from this company. They are dishonest and do not care about their customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Trinity L.Seattle, WA091Aug 2, 2022
This company guaranteed an installation day, insisted I pay 50% deposit, and then AFTER making other arrangements with subcontractors based on those dates, I received an email two days later saying the dates need to be changed and the company is no longer operating under the same name. And there's a new regional manager who is not reachable by phone.
Highly suspicious, I do not recommend this companyHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan S.San Diego, CA031Jul 21, 2022
We were left with the worst experience. It is beyond us why IKEA has any association with Traemand.
Their installers drilled 5 holes into our plumbing which caused significant water damage. Traemand demanded photo evidences, which we sent, but only to be told that Traemand is not responsible for any damages that occur. The evidences were very detailed, so that means they never intended to own up.
On top of that, we were charged the full install amount, plus return fee, even though the kitchen is only half done.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matthew O.Old Toronto, Toronto, Canada01Feb 27, 2023
The designer we worked with was fantastic. questions the Ikea employees could not answer were easy for her. had a good idea what we wanted and Traemand worked with us and also made sure we had what we needed. The install went well because of their help. You get what you get for the IKEA cost but the value we got from Traemand was incredible.
We did a while kitchen, with wood counters so we didn't have to wait and they also did two fridge cabinets. We could not be happier and I have to shout out Allison Alexander as the design consultant with Traemand. Looking forward to using them again for a large cabinet storage solution in our dining room.
Can we add photos? :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alicia Y.Atherton, CA696050Oct 24, 2022
If 0 stars was an option, that would be what they received. Began kitchen installation in July - work is still incomplete. Haven't had running water in the kitchen in months. Traemand has no-showed to several appointments. At this point we're looking at fraud with Traemand and IKEA.

My good friend Linda, has been trying to get through to Traemand, to make an appointment for her IKEA cabinets kitchen installation. She has paid half of the cost for all these cabinets, and she cannot get a human being who will be responsive and address her needs for an installation date. It's been over two weeks and she cannot get a respectful professional response from these people for a Sarasota Florida installation of an Ikea kitchen installation. Shame on Traemond and IKEA. This is no way to treat customers who want to spend some decent hard earned money in these challenging times.

I love shopping at Ikea! However DO NOT USE THEIR MEASURING SERVICE!! Traemand is a terrible company.
1) They measured wrong. Who makes a 95 inch ceiling when the standard 8 feet is 96 inches?
2) I can measure a vent bulkhead confidently so why would it be 12.5 inches like they say and not the standard 12"?
3) When I went to the store they'd mixed me up with someone else and attached their floor plan to my account. There's a waste of an hour until we figured that out as it was eerily similar to mine.
4) The guy from Ikea said he'd email Traemand for a redo and they never got back to me so I had to track them down at which point I was ignored for several weeks then met with a weak apology. This was in the beginning of June 2021. I was told after many unanswered emails from Angela, a phone call to their main phone#, and a VM full message at Angela's extension that a refund was issued. It was not. Nothing hit my account. I called the main line today July 26 and was told that the refund was issued June 21 and it might take a few days to show so look a little after. Um....yeah since I didn't have the date before this call I have been through my statements with a fine toothed comb and I don't see it.
In summation Traemand is a shady company who takes ZERO responsibility for their actions. You can see on BBB that they take no responsibility and shrug off the complaints and in a rare instance will resolve the issue after the bad review. They even went so far as to post in a response that they're waiting for BBB to catch up and fix the resolved review.
Your better off having your blind dog do the measurements or hire a handy man on your own.
I'm afraid they do the installs too and am considering hiring my own installer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
