After Megan Thee Stallion opened the show with a medley of “Hiss,” “Boa,” and “Where Them Girls At,” Henson came out dressed as Kendrick Lamar at the The Pop Out: Ken and Friends. “Not Like Us” came over the speakers and the BET Awards audience braced itself for the 7th pop culture moment of that song. But then came the joke lyrics. As an actor, Henson came for mediocre films and nepotism more than taking any side in the Kendrick Drake international incident.
Then after Tyla won Best International Artist, Henson ran through the calendar to recap a year in foolishness. Usher was chastised for keeping his shirt on too long at the Super Bowl, as were Kendrick and Drake.
