She may have grown up on a Christmas tree farm, but Taylor Swift might love Independence Day even more than December 25. The singer has now established a tradition of throwing a yearly over-the-top bash complete with the "Taymerica" waterslide, coordinating towels, and matching onesies at her Rhode Island home to which she invites a big ol' crowd of her famous friends—her squad, if you will—to celebrate the most patriotic of days. The whole thing is basically Instagram and paparazzi catnip, and just like the party has become an annual tradition, so has waiting to see who's on each year's guest list. This year didn't disappoint, with Swift's new paramour Tom Hiddleston being the most important face in the crowd.

Hiddleston, who have reportedly been engaging in a hyperspeed romance with Swift for the past few weeks, made his blossoming love all too clear by sporting a tank top emblazoned with “I <3 T.S.” and a temporary “T” heart tattoo on his right shoulder. Such a prominent display of affection and subsequent photos of Hiddleston and Swift playing in the water have fueled conspiracy theories that the couple is actually making an extended piece of performance art for Swift's next album. That's right: Taylor Swift might be "Lemonade"-ing us, and Tom Hiddleston is but a pawn in her elaborate chess game. Does this really excuse the "I heart T.S." tank top, though?

Other part guests at this year's Swiftdependence Day included Orange Is The New Black stars Uzo Aduba and Ruby Rose, along with Cara Delevingne, St. Vincent, Martha Hunt, Karlie Kloss, Halston Sage, Este Haim, and Gigi Hadid. Swift's brother Austin and her high school best friend Abigail Anderson were also in attendance. In an interesting twist, Swift and Hiddleston had some other couple friends: Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who is pregnant with their second child.

Definitely not in attendance, however, was Swift's ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, who made his grand debut on Swift's Instagram last year at this time in a series of since-deleted photos ("Friendly relations between Scotland and America," a caption we'll never forget). Also not there: Swift's best friend Selena Gomez, who played hostess at her own party that she shared on Instagram.

Swift didn't seem too bothered, though. She had her updated 2016 squad and a red, white, and blue dress code. Taymerica the beautiful.
