As TMZ put it, the singer became “Jenny from the Cabin” when she flew from Naples to Paris on a regular-degular plane this past Saturday. In the photos obtained by the gossip site, Lopez looks a little cramped as she sits in a window seat in what is certainly still business or first class. Despite her being in the front of the plane, it’s still sort of shocking to see J.Lo chilling on a normal Air France flight. If anyone would be flying private, you’d think it would be the woman whose house reportedly has 30 bathrooms.
She’s not the only one, either. Earlier this month, Kanye West was also spotted on a normal-person flight to Tokyo. Now, if you’ve ever flown New York to Los Angeles, you probably know it’s totally typical for famous people to be on a commercial flight. Lopez and West, though? This is how you can really tell that things are getting too expensive. For you and me, it’s looking at a box of cereal and going, “How much?” For A-listers, it’s looking at the price of chartering a private jet and deciding that a few hours breathing the same air as civilians won’t be that bad.
