This is not a drill, BTS fans. The moment many have been waiting for has finally arrived, with the K-Pop group making their highly anticipated United States television debut tonight (Nov 19) at the American Music Awards.

Tonight's AMAs ceremony was the first time the group — compromised of members, Jin, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — performed their first televised US performance. The band performed their hit single "DNA" in a front of a color-changing backdrop, donning colorful jackets while performing a series of fun and intricate dance moves.

Fans in attendance were spotted enjoying the show, dancing, singing along with every word, and tearing up at the momentous occasion. Even Ansel Elgort got in the on fun, snapping a photo of the performance, much to the delight of Twitter.

Following the performance, BTS received a standing ovation and praise from presenter Jared Leto. While fans at home took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the evening, admitting to their own moments of crying.

The band has spent the previous days preparing for the evening, with members debuting colorful makeovers and announcing the release of a special merch line featuring enamel pins and iron-on patches that read #BTSXAMAS.

Earlier in the evening, they showed off their iconic fashion sense and new hair colors, walking the red carpet in matching black ensembles.
