Disney California Adventure cast members performed the standard evacuation procedure, according to Disneyland officials. The Disneyland Fire Department and Anaheim Fire Department were not dispatched, according to Disneyland officials.

The Incredicoaster may pause operations when a sensor is tripped, someone drops a hat on the track or for other reasons, according to Disneyland officials.

The Incredicoaster remained temporarily closed at 7 p.m. on Sunday following the malfunction, according to the Disneyland app.

Temperatures reached the mid-80s on Sunday at the Anaheim theme park ahead of a heat wave that is expected to bake Southern California for the next week or so.

Vince Crandon told KNBC4 the Incredicoaster also stalled the day before on Saturday, June 29.

“I thought maybe the ride was closed,” Crandon told KNBC4. “I was really concerned for the heat and obviously for the people.”

The 6,000-foot-long magnetically-launched looping roller coaster in Pixar Pier with a top speed of 55 mph underwent a seasonal refurbishment in March.

The cause of the ride breakdown was unknown, according to OC Hawk.
