I may be biased here because I have lots of Philips Hue products, all of my lighting is automated and I like that because I can control all of the lights in my house with my phone, or my voice. I had to add this to the equation because I wanted it primarily for the back of my TV. It is 10ft long and if you stick it along the back and down the sides, it creates a really nice glow that adds atmosphere and makes the TV pop from the wall more, it somehow brings the TV into focus more, somehow. It has many other uses, so I would consider getting another one in the future. I can say that it works well with home kit but you have to set it up in the Hue app first and then add it to HomeKit, or at least that’s the only way I could get it done. You also will need to purchase a Hue bridge so that you connect to it, control it and change the colors but if you already have that stuff, then this is a nice add on.
