An Excellent and Enjoyable "Harman - tuned" headphone by Oneodio
Un-equalized, I compared Oneodio's Monitor 80 to my HiFiMan HE400-X4 in comparative response measurements and with a variety of music from YouTube including Dietrich Fischer-Diekau's live "Winterreise" with Brendel; "Muddy Waters Sings Big Bill Broonzy", Rhoda Scott's Hammond Christmas album, a lively and well recorded period pianoforte performance of the 3rd movement from Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata", a closed mic-ed duet of tabla and harmonium, drumkit and cymbals.Unequalized, HE400-X4 lacked lower pitch and decay definition on a Steve Maxwell video with a little Fibes drumkit paired with very large cymbals. Its lean nature lost the pitch bend on the floor tom and also the color of the 30 inch cymbals. I assume that applying APO/Peace EQ to HE400 would improve things but not everyone is set up for or bothers with elaborate equalization of headphones.Soundstaging seems pretty accurate in the panoramic field and without the two "holes" or "lobes" experienced with closed back cans. I did not directly compare it to my SHP9500 but suspect the Oneodio may do some things better.Oneodio's Monitor 80 is set to go without EQ for average listening and very dynamic on that Youtube video pianoforte example of the Moonlight's "Presto Agitato";It resolves pretty much what's happening in various recordings. In contrast, myHE400X4 can get rough on some older recordings of the female voice.Look at the comparative graphs attached and you can see the balance differencesThe included case is good enough and functional. Build quality seems sturdy and overallappearance "nice"All in all Oneodio showed they know how to design competent drivers and tune a headphone.btw - I hope this capitalizes correctly - I know how to hit the "shift key" but Amazon renders my questions in lower case - lol

1.0 out of 5 stars great sound poor build quality and materials.
Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2023
as seen in pictures currently while typing this I am super gluing a crack that appeared just below the joint and runs down through what was a solid piece of plastic. Did not drop or was ruff with the headphones I just wear them every day for extended periods of time. Sound quality is amazing, but the build material is not great.
UPDATE: now there are breaks right at the joints of the headphones. Lowering the rating to a 1 star. Build quality is really poor. Bad material.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound, and VERY comfortable
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 14, 2022
I have one complaint with these: "The power of music !" — the tag written on the ear, and there's a space before the exclamation mark. Even without the poor punctuation, it's got a cheesy Fisher-Price vibe to it; I'm not a fan. Branding and the product name would've sufficed.

Besides that, they're amazing. Sound quality is fantastic — skews slightly warm and bassy, but that's my preference.

They can be worn all day, and you'll hardly notice them. I have actually forgotten I had them on. There's no ache on the ears, there's no sweat build-up; only your music will remind you that you're wearing them. The velvet padding on the cans feel great.

They are however my first open-back headphones, so I can only compare them to 20 or 30 closed-back pairs, and these are eeeeasily more comfortable than any of those.

Oh, I'd recommend these live somewhere permanently, or get a new case. The included case is a small vehicle. When traveling, you'll obviously want the case to protect the headphones but it's not really portable — the size is comparable to a round loaf of bread (picture shows it on a 15 inch Macbook and with a debit card, for comparison).
