When I want to mist the whole tray of seedlings I'll give it a good press and the mist gently floats down. It mists where I point it. The button moves up and down with ease and hasn't stuck once. I'll press the button softly if I want to gently water a single seedling. The mister is highly reflective brass ( in an attractive way) and quite sturdy. It has a quality "feel" to it. Fits nicely in the hand and is dependable. I'm going to look for other products made by this company as I'm always looking for quality. This product is a "must have" if you need a small mister for seedlings and indoor plants. For those people who say it discolors too quickly, I have two words for you “brass tarnishes”. If you want to make it shiny again get a bottle of “Brasso”.
