Portrait of Danielle Kaye

Danielle Kaye

I write on a range of topics, including labor and the workplace, antitrust and the economy.

Before joining the 2024-25 New York Times Fellowship class, I reported on federal antitrust enforcement at Bloomberg Law. I’ve also worked as a radio reporter and a producer at NPR, where I covered union organizing campaigns, housing policy and hurricane recovery, among other issues. I got my start in business journalism covering company news at Reuters.

I grew up in Los Angeles and have a bachelor’s degree in international development and French from the University of California, Berkeley.

As a Times journalist, I am committed to upholding the standards of integrity outlined in our Ethical Journalism Handbook. I strive for fairness and accuracy in my reporting. I do not accept gifts or favors from sources, nor do I actively trade any investments.

Please email me if you’d like my number on Signal or WhatsApp.
