Flavio Briatore has been named as Alpine’s new executive advisor in Formula One, 16 years after his involvement in the Singapore ‘Crashgate’ race-fixing scandal.
Briatore, 74, has been appointed into the role by Luca de Meo, the CEO of Renault, which owns the Alpine F1 operation in the latest of a series of changes at the team.
