The Knicks are a quarter of the way through the 2018-19 season, so what do we make of them? Well, it’s somewhat complicated.

Mike Vorkunov and Dave DuFour dive into their assessments of the Knicks and how much they should lean into tanking vs. staying competitive.

“The Knicks have been fun to watch because they’ve kept these games competitive,” Dave DuFour said. “But one of the most fun things about them is how they keep finding new ways to lose at the end of games.”

What does Dave make of Frank Ntilikina in his second year? Why does he call Mitchell Robinson one of the best shot-blockers in the NBA? Has his position on Emmanuel Mudiay changed since 2016?

Kevin Knox has had a disappointing start to his rookie season, bothered by an ankle injury, and poor offensive numbers. Dave explains why he’s not worried about Knox at this point.

Allonzo Trier has had several spectacular moments so far for the Knicks, maybe their best rookie. Dave and Mike discuss how good he has been, what to doubt about him, and how his contract situation could play out.

Finally, Mike asks Dave an open-ended question: What does he think of the Kevin Durant/Knicks thing?
