Leeds United have announced the departure of their head of medicine and performance Rob Price.

Leeds say that Price has left “to pursue a new career opportunity”. Price’s LinkedIn page appears to show that he has joined League One side Derby County.

“On behalf of everyone at the club,” Leeds chief executive Angus Kinnear said, “I would like to thank Rob for his commitment and dedication to Leeds United, especially during the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2019-20 season.

“We all have great respect and appreciation for Rob, and naturally we are disappointed to see him leave the club, but we wish him every success in the future.”

Price had been in his role since 2018, having previously worked at Hull City, FIFA and Liverpool.

Leeds are aiming to return to the Premier League next season after losing to Southampton in the Championship play-off final in May. They will discover their fixtures for the 2024-25 campaign next Wednesday at 9am BST.
