West Ham United are close to agreeing a deal with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

The 33-year-old will leave Sheffield United when his contract officially expiries at the end of June.

Foderingham made over 100 league appearances during his four-year spell at Bramall Lane, having joined from Rangers in the summer of 2020.

The former Swindon Town and Rangers goalkeeper played 30 times in the Premier League last season, but was unable to prevent the club from suffering relegation back to the Championship.

New West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui wants to sign an experienced third-choice goalkeeper following the release of Joseph Anang, 23.

Last season Alphonse Areola was No 1, with Lukasz Fabianski his understudy. Lopetegui wants to make four signings before he officially starts his role on July 1.

Flamengo defender Fabricio Bruno could be the first addition. Nothing is finalised but a deal which would see the 28-year-old move to the London Stadium for an initial €13.5million plus add-ons and sign a five-year contract is progressing.
