Ask Ornstein: Your opportunity to question David about the world of football

I will be hosting the third edition of our weekly feature, ‘Ask Ornstein’, on The Athletic today — and it’s your opportunity to ask me anything you want about the goings-on within the game.

One of the great things about social media is seeing just how much everyone wants to know about every part of football and what is going on at their club, but it’s not the best place to get into a question-and-answer session.

That’s where The Athletic’s app comes in.

Every week, we hold an hour-long session exclusive to The Athletic subscribers. I will endeavour to answer as many questions as possible. These can be on anything from transfers to my assessment of the season to date. As a pointer, here is the pick of the questions sent my way in last week’s Q&A.

Want to know my view on both north London clubs’ impressive starts, which sees them each boast 20 points at the top of the Premier League, or the reasoning behind Birmingham City’s appointment of Wayne Rooney as their new manager? Or my take on Gareth Southgate’s options for England’s friendly against Australia and European Championship qualifier against Italy? Just ask.

Come back to the app later today at 2:30pm BST (9:30am ET). The Q&A will appear at the top of your feed and you’ll be able to write your questions before I join the conversation.

If I don’t know the answer to a question, I’ll be honest with you about it.

But just ask me what you want to know and I’ll try my absolute best to answer.
