Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett was arrested and charged with public intoxication in Dallas on Sunday, according to multiple reports. The 25-year-old was taken to the city detention center, Dallas police told the Associated Press.

Police told the AP they responded to reports of a man banging on doors around 6:10 a.m. Sunday in a community of townhomes near downtown Dallas.

Bennett is in the Dallas area training for a possible pro career. He recently capped off his collegiate run by leading the Bulldogs to their second consecutive national title with a win over TCU on Jan. 9. He was selected as the 2022 Manning Award winner, which goes to the nation’s top quarterback as determined after bowl and Playoff games, on Jan. 23.

Georgia has not released a statement at this time.
