Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point returned in the second period of Game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday after he took a nasty fall late in the first. He took a shift but went back to the bench, still hurting after the fall.

Lightning coach Jon Cooper provided no update after the game on Point's status.

As Point was retrieving the puck in the Toronto zone, his right leg collided with the boards, causing him to fall down. He hobbled off the ice to the dressing room and missed the rest of the first period.

Point, 26, scored the overtime winner in Game 6 for the Lightning, sending the series to Game 7. He has two goals and two assists thus far in the playoffs.

The winner of Saturday's game will face the Florida Panthers in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
