How has Luzardo looked so far this season?

Marc Carig, MLB deputy managing editor: The Marlins have stockpiled arms, with Luzardo being one of them in a trade with the A’s. A highly touted prospect, Luzardo fell short of expectations in Oakland last season. With a 6.87 ERA, he was demoted to the minors before being sent to the Marlins.

He's had some success to this point this year because of his strong strikeout rate (34.5 percent). He was injured in his last start against the Diamondbacks, which was also his worst of the year as he allowed four runs on two hits with six strikeouts and four walks in 2 2/3 innings.

What is the possible impact of this injury?

Carig: He’s a young pitcher who strikes guys out, which is what you want. He finally had some results to indicate he was starting to figure things out. If it’s a long-term issue, it could be another blow to the development of a young player with a lot of talent.
