HOLLYWOOD, Fla., March 1 (UPI)—Roy Emerson of Australia lost to Fred Stolle, countryman, 7‐6, 6‐4, in the first round of the $50,000 Saga Bay tennis tournament for contract pros today.

Bob Lutz of Los Angeles defeated Bill Bowrey of Australia, 7‐5. 6‐3.

Tom Okker of the Netherlands was upset, 1‐6, 6‐2, 6‐1, by Ismael El‐Shafei of Egypt.
