Mrs. Linda Childs Pearson, daughter of Mrs. Starling Winston Childs Jr. of New York and Norfolk, Conn., and the late Mr. Childs, was married in Sydney, Australia, yesterday to Peter Brock Quinnell, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Quinnell of Sydney. The Presbyterian ceremony in the H.M.A.S Watson Memorial Chapel was performed by the Rev. Malcolm A. Spence, an Australian Navy chaplain.

The bride, a graduate of the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., made her debut here in 1959 and was a member of the Junior Assemblies.

She attended Sarah Lawrence College. Her previous marriage, to Theodore Pearson Jr., formerly owner's representative for the Farrell Lines, Inc., in Sydney, ended in divorce. Mr. Pearson has returned to New York. The bride's father formed the S. W. Childs Management Corporation, a family investment concern here.

Mr. Quinnell is a graduate of Scots College in Sydney and managing director of Reslaw, Green & Scott, Pty. Ltd. there.

After a short honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Quinnell will live in Watson's Bay, Sydney.
