George E. Davis, one of the men most actively concerned in the ironworkers' dynamiting conspiracy, was arrested here yesterday. He was held on a charge of conspiring to transport dynamite illegally from this city to Mount Vernon, but his arrest is considered by the Federal authorities to be a matter of the highest importance as according to the charge the conspiracy is said to be still in existence.
