VENICE, Aug. 16. -- Among the many visitors at Venice very few knew or remarked after the inauguration of the new Campanile of St. Mark last year that the beautiful Loggetta of San Sovino, which, like a delicate piece of lace, decorates one of the sides of the structure, was only wood and plaster.
