In your issue of March 27 you published a reply by Mr. Frederic Villiers to Miss Bacon's comments on his reference to Japanese troops. I cannot refrain from asking of you further space to set forth a few facts bearing upon the points, because it seemed to me that the very marked ignorance indicated by Mr. Villiers, particularly with reference to a person so well known as Miss Bacon, deserves to be corrected.
