The amateur handicap billiard tournament between the cracks of this city and Brooklyn, began last evening at Daly's Academy in the latter city. W.A. Barnard of the Montauk Club and Arthur Townsend of the Catholic Lyceum were the players in the initial round. Hereafter until the close of the tourney the games will be played afternoon and evening. Barnard surprised the critics by defeating Townsend with ease, the score being 265 to 160. View Full Article in Timesmachine »
