LONDON, Feb. 28. -- In the House of commons to-day Sir George Baden-Powell, member for the Kirkiale Division of Liverpool, asked if Sir Julian Pauncefote, the British Ambassador at Washington, had informed the Government that the United States House of Representatives had rejected the proposition to appropriate $425,000 as compensation for British sealers under the award and findings of the Bering Sea Tribunal of Arbitration.
