The ice-floe in the North and East Rivers yesterday, as also in the harbor, exceeded that of any Winter season during the past three years. Fortunately there was no damage which involved loss of life, or even very serious injury to persons. The most serious effect, that which involved the greatest danger, was the carrying away of three buoys in the bay, which, however, will soon be returned to their proper places by the authorities.
