CANAL EXPENDITURES.--The resolutions of Mr. LITTLEJOHN, in the Assembly, calling for information about the expenditures upon the State canals, is seasonable and searching. The enormous sums required to keep the canals in repair during the year 1865 has awakened general solicitude. Either the system is bad or it is badly administered.
