Officials have identified the motorcyclist who died Wednesday following a crash on Interstate 78 in Lehigh County.

Coroner Daniel A. Buglio identified Edgar J. Guadarrama Jaimes, 30, of Upper Saucon Township, as the man who died after the crash on I-78 in Allentown.

State police said the crash involved the motorcycle, a tractor-trailer and and an SUV in the eastbound lanes of I-78 near mile mark 58. The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.

Guadarrama Jaimes was pronounced dead at the scene about 1:30 p.m. Buglio said his death was caused by multiple traumatic injuries, with the manner accidental.

I-78 was closed in the area for several hours while police investigated the crash. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact police at 610-395-1438.
