Nice armoire ColleenThis is perfect for storage in our guest room.
Great for Kids!!KristinI think the overall design and grey option for a kid’s wardrobe is great! Perfect for hanging baby clothes while also providing other storage options!
However, the right door does not close all the way? It stays popped open a bit.
Cheap qualityStephanieI purchased this in July before my newborn was born. I fell in love with it because the design was just what I was looking for. But it was a huge disappointment when we built it and the screw that holds the shelf inside broke off while holding newborn clothes, light baskets on top that were filled with newborn socks, shoes, and pantyhose. I contacted IKEA customer service to see how I can get assisted in repairing it, or replacing it since it was less than a year old to only come across a very rude representative. That told me that if I wanted another one, I just had to buy a new one and that was my only choice, therefore this purchase was a waste of money since I can no longer use the wardrobe for what I needed it for. Save your money for something else .
I got two. The grayAnthonyI got two. The gray is not dark at all. Both stains are a delicate wash, not hiding the wood grain, prettier than paint. Armoires tend to be heavy, dull pieces, taking up too much space. But these are less than 20 inches out from the wall - just barely enough to fit a hanger with a coat. I modified one to hang longer clothes by simply removing the shelf and attaching the clothes-bar to the roof. It only needs two holes like the shelf has, and is also solid pine. Then I used both shelves in the second unit without the bar, for bed linens. The quality of the instructions is well below IKEA's usual standards, devoting whole pages to simple steps but leaving you to figure it out in several others. The doors are almost impossible to align, and I got warped and defective pieces in both units. The wood is SOFT.
Perfect For Child's RoomNancyExcellent if your child's room does not have a closet. Assembly was reasonable and overall for the price it is perfect. Finding an armoire at this price that looks this great is not going to happen elsewhere. Love it.
3 pieces were broken whenPeggy3 pieces were broken when we got it. very disappointed with the overall quality
Door doesn’t close completelyAlisonThankfully I read other reviews and anticipated some missing steps in the instructions and was able to properly construct this piece. I am frustrated that I got all the way to the end, and one of the door hinges prevents it from closing completely.
I wish there was oneKathyI wish there was one more movable shelf.
Wrong instructionsAntonellaMy husband and I are pretty good at reading instructions to put things together, but he had to drill a few extra holes to get a few things lined up, including the tracks where the bottom drawer goes to. They are not right on the instructions.
New GrandsonVerified BuyerGreat product that will survive a boy growing up!
Perfect for nurseryVerified BuyerI have twin boys who are now 16 months old. I bought this for their nursery and the size is perfect to fit the clothes that they have and doesn’t take up to much space in the room. I also have the matching dresser/changing table and love the look. The only downfall is the instructions were a little confusing when it came to installing the shelf and because the materials are a bit flimsy, the wood split and needed to be repaired and reinforced. Still, it works perfect for the few years I intend to use it.
Perfect Size for a Nursery/Childs RoomSheenaWe purchased this for use in our baby's nursery and found it to be the perfect dimensions to fit amongst all the other needed furniture.
Mistake in assemble instructions!AntonellaI generally have no problem with assembling ikea products. i take my time and look at the illustrations closely. i found a discrepancy in the instructions for this wardrobe and had to walk backwards from the final illustration in order to make a decision on how i would proceed. i have tried to contact ikea to no avail....they are experiencing extraordinary phone volume every day! so instead, although i love the final product, i left this 1 start review to draw attention to the discrepancy so that buyers aren't pulling their hair out. on page 11 number 8 you will notice that the level knob is at the bottom of the left leg. that is incorrect. it should be on the right leg. to compare, look at figure 7 page 10. the panel that has the hinges on the right side has a level know on the right side. so the image changes from figure 7 to figure 8. please correct this ikea.
