Reviews
Give your art the attention it deserves.
Frames not only protect your photos and memories. They’re also good when you want to add the finishing touch to your interior. With RÖDALM, there are as many possibilities as there are motifs. You can use the frame to give your favorite painting or picture both more depth and the attention it deserves.
“Hanging something on the wall is a simple trick when you want to create a more homely feel or tie the interior in a room together,” says Andreas Fredriksson, the designer behind RÖDALM, a family of frames in different sizes, colors and wood expressions.
Create a new dimension at home
RÖDALM has simple and clean lines that work well with different types of interiors. The deep profile draws the eye but has a practical function too. “You can place the motif directly against the plastic front or further back to create depth and a 3D effect. If you have a photo, you might want to have it in the very front, but an artwork on watercolor paper with a slightly handmade feel, is nice to place further back in the frame to emphasize the paper texture and give the motif more life,” suggests Andreas.
Be bold, be yourself.
” We have also reinforced the back of RÖDALM to make it durable and prevent the frame from warping. That’s good if you change addresses often or enjoy refurnishing,” explains Andreas. He believes the pictures people hang on their walls can give clues about their lives and who they are, but how you choose to frame them can also be revealing. ” I enjoy creating collages using frames in various sizes and styles on a small wall surface, for example, old ornate flea market frames together with a modern frame like RÖDALM.” Then, the actual motif becomes less important, and a simple brushstroke on a beautiful piece of paper can be enough. “In the end, what’s important is not necessarily what you choose to hang on your walls, but that you put something up that feels like you.”
Material
What is fibreboard?
Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
