Reviews
Loved it to begin with.FionaLoved everything about this couch both for sitting and for sleeping. Now, after 2.5 years, there is a gap between the back and seat when made into a bed and the worst is that one of the arms is broken. IKEA what can I do?
One side arm broke off AnthonyWe just purchased the sofa 12/15/2023 in Italy and have only used it when staying in our place in Florence 3 times this year. The arm/side broke off ( plastic piece that holds it together. Unbelievable when you spend this much money and it's quality doesn't hold up to normal standards. Who do I speak to about this problem?
Does the trick, but not without some downfalls Tiffany It's a decent option if you're on a budget, but "IKEA solutions" don't last very long. I've had this couch for two years and the padding on the arms has shifted outward, which looks weird and is not very comfortable to lay against. The seat cushion is not very comfortable to begin with and it only gets more flat over time. I wish IKEA would invest in a hair more money to make these couches last a bit longer. If you're looking for something more durable/comfortable, spend the extra $400 on a different brand.
Much too hard to sleep on.BrianLove it until I had to sleep on it. Very thin padding (does not have pillows, just padded boards). A sofa "bed" should be able to be comfortable enough to sleep on.
Sturdy, nice lookingLisaThis sofa bed seems to be very sturdy & is definitely nice looking! It has convenient, large storage area for bedding & pillows. I would suggest throw pillows though because it sits back pretty far.
Awesome JoahanI have had this for over a year and many people have slept on it so many times. It really comfortable in the back rest however the seat cushioning is very thin and you can feel the bottom, your butt sinks to the bottom easily. In terms of functionality it's great for you, but if you want something to seat on all day get something with more seat cushioning.
perfect for what I needPamThis pull out sofa is fantastic where and for what I need.
Not very good.Yung ChiehAfter using it for 6 months, one of the wooden parts broke. Now the bed is uneven. I can only say that the quality is not very good.
Very comfortable. BharatVery good looking, very comfortable, very easy to turn sofa in to bed. You good quality and good for value price.
Cushion wears fast!ValeryI bought this couch about 3-4 years ago and the cushion where you sit is so uncomfortable now. You can feel the wood slats underneath. I understand the normal wear and tear but this shouldn't happen this fast. The couch doesn't get used that often and we're average weight people. Other that sitting being uncomfortable, everything else is fine. It still looks very nice but I'm almost embarrassed to have people sit down.
Definitely need to get a different couch. For the price it should last at least 5+ years without deteriorating.
Good ratio price/qualityYevhenPerfect sizing. Comfortable sleeper sofa. However the sleeping surface is not flat when unfolded. The fabric is easily soiled but looking great. After a month of use the overall impression is good
It’s pretty good what I need EbruIt’s really good
Most comfortable convertible I’ve ever triedJohnEasy two person assembly.
Great for sitting and the best convertible I’ve ever tried. Easy to convert which I do every day.
Nice practical sleeper sofa! With a caveatAlexI really love the idea of this sofa. We got ours almost 6 years ago, in a burnt sienna color. It has held up well. The bed is definitely comfortable enough to sleep on for a couple of nights, without the need for an extra mattress pad. However, the comfort as a couch is a bit lacking in my opinion. The couch setup is quite deep, meaning I'm either sitting with my back lacking support for the back of the couch and needing a pillow inbetween, or slouched back so many legs aren't hanging. This isn't the worst, but where I think it's been a bit detrimental is that you can generally feel the wooden supports where the gaps between individual seat cushions would exist. This I believe has caused me some lower back and leg problems over time, as the seat cushion has worn out some. My wife still finds the couch very comfortable, so maybe my ~190lbs frame is just a bit too much for the cushion. I'd recommend this couch, but just be aware of potential long term comfort as a couch.
Very good HalynaVery good
Practical and FunctionalDaraI bought two of these for my airbnbs 4 years ago. It just struck me yesterday that they are that old already and still look very good and are still holding together fine, even being used by the general public all this time. The storage space inside the sofa is very handy, and the covers on the sofa can be removed and machine washed. The only downside for this sofa that I see is that it's not really good for larger humans for sleeping on, and most Americans are pretty large these days. But so far in over 700 guest stays I have not had anyone complain about this sofa. If the current ones I have were to get ruined I would most likely be buying the same one again. It was easy to assemble, also. I actually paid my 14-yr-old to put it together and here we are 4 years later and it's still holding together fine.
Lovely!!RebeccaWe really like this piece!! Was easy to assemble and our guests find it comfortable to sleep on.
Friheten sofa sleeperAntonellaThis is a perfect solution for adding a large bed for guests, who said it was firm and comfortable. I used a foam pad atop, which I can store in the spacious storage bin beneath the seat along with pillows. I have seen similar sofas advertised lately at a cheaper price, but I got quality fabric, reliability of IKEA's reputation and durability. You get what you pay for.
SofaJennyProduct as advertised. Easy to use. Good craftsmanship. Easy to assemble.
Very sturdy. TerriBetter to watch a YouTube video to put together then try to follow the (not so clear picture directions ). I felt it was a little pricey compared to furniture store prices but I needed one to fit through the particular doorway therefore I was willing to pay the price to get one that could be put together in the room!
