FBI agents raided the home of longtime Subway pitchman Jared Fogle early Tuesday in connection with a child pornography investigation, according to Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR.
WTHR reported that authorities removed electronics from Fogle’s home, located in the Indianapolis suburb of Zionsville, and were analyzing said devices inside a mobile forensics van parked in Fogle’s driveway. Indiana State Police were also on the scene, TMZ reported.
Fogle was detained outside the house but was not placed under arrest.
The raid follows news in April that Russell Taylor, the executive director of Fogle’s Jared Foundation, aimed at tackling childhood obesity, was arrested for possessing child porn. It’s not clear if the Tuesday morning raid was connected to Taylor’s arrest.
The FBI told CNBC in a statement that it “is conducting investigative activity in the area. We cannot disclose the nature of the activity at this time.” State police have not yet responded to a request for comment.

Subway said in a statement: “We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely. We don’t have any more details at this point.”
Fogle’s attorney, Ron Elberger, said in a statement: “Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges, and looks forward to its conclusion.”
Fogle once weighed 425 and lost 250 pounds with a Subway diet of his own creation, leading to his being hired by the company.
