‘Survivor’ castoff Elisabeth Markham dishes blindside and medical emergency you didn’t see on TV (Podcast)

Despite being blindsided last night on “Survivor: Kaoh Rong,” the latest castoff Elisabeth Markham has no ill feelings toward her fellow Chan Loh (Brains) tribe members. “I’m the reason I’m sitting here today,” she tells Gold Derby. “I did not do a good job of making myself loved by my fellow tribe mates, and that’s ultimately what gets you far in the game.”

Listen to our full exit interview above and then make your “Survivor” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down to predict who will be voted out next.

Sizing up her tribe members’ decision to vote her out, Liz explains, “I really rubbed Debbie Wanner the wrong way apparently, and Joseph Del Campo wasn’t particularly fond of me, and with Neal Gottlieb and Aubry Bracco thinking we wanted to vote them out, I’m left with one person (Peter Baggenstos) who wants to keep me. So, that’s my fault.”

Since Season 32 is being billed as a season full of medical emergencies, we asked Liz if she had injuries that weren’t shown on TV. “Yeah, I had a really nasty staph infection,” she reveals. “A few days after I was voted out, they sent me to the hospital [where] they had all the infected staph tissue cut out of my shoulder, my back, my armpit, my knee. I had these big gaping holes, like four inches down to the muscle.”

Also in our chat, Liz reveals who she thinks will win the game, the status of her tribe’s hidden immunity idol and who from the other tribes she would have liked to work with. Click the video above to listen to our Q&A podcast.

According to exclusive Gold Derby odds that are derived from the predictions made by contest entrants like you, Liz’s elimination was a shocker as she had 8/1 odds (11% chance) of being voted out. Click on the above chart for more predictions from this week’s episode, titled “The Circle of Life.”
