The CAS Writing Center offers one-on-one appointments free of charge to students with papers from Writing Program courses (CAS WR courses) and some other courses that fulfill the First-Year Writing and Writing, Research, & Inquiry Hub units.

What to Know Before you Book an Appointment

Both in-person and remote appointments are available. In-person appointments take place in the Writers’ Studio on the 3rd floor of 100 Bay State Road. Remote appointments are conducted via video chat, and students can attend these from any quiet, private location of their choosing. Students can select which type of appointment they prefer using our online scheduling system.
Be sure to sign up with the consultant specializing in your class level. For example, if you are enrolled in WR 111, sign up only with those consultants next to whose names you see a (WR 111) designation.
Students can make one appointment per week. We encourage you to reserve appointments in advance whenever possible.
