We want to hear more Black voices

The Boston Globe Ideas and Opinion sections want to hear directly from Black people in our communities and our country. We’ll publish a selection of your emails and responses to the question below:

Black communities and Black people have been hit hard by the coronavirus, and the economic downturn it has caused, while also dealing with public reminders of police brutality and racial injustice in the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, among others. What do these events mean for you, and how are you coping? What are your ideas for change?

Is there something else you want to say or talk about? What are you worried about? What policy changes would you like to see come out of this moment? Are you pessimistic or optimistic about the future? E-mail us, in 200 words or less, at [email protected]. Please include your name and address, for publication, and a phone number at which we can reach you if we have any questions.
